Timelapse of Removal & Fitting of Replacement Canopies at Blackpool North Railway Station
Improvements were required to the canopies on platform 3 and 4 of the Blackpool North railway station in Lancashire, England. Taziker were contracted by Network Rail to complete the project. The existing canopy suffered from widespread corrosion to the steel columns and sectional loss to the corrugated roof coverings. This resulted in water ingress onto the platform surfaces presenting a safety risk. Due to the rust, corrosion and damage the canopies were also considered an eyesore.
